It is often said that music education is important to the all-round development of the person.

Music lessons help develop reading and listening skills, and improve concentration levels. Studies have indicated that musical training provides positive stimulus to the parts of the brain involved in processing language and reasoning.

biography

Bernadette has been Head of Performing Arts (Music, Drama and Entertainment) at an Independent College in Sydney and teaches in her own studio in Alexandria.

She graduated from the NSW State Conservatorium of Music in 1987, and has worked in Music Education and tutored Piano, Theory and assisted HSC students with their music studies throughout her career.

musicOther qualifications that Bernadette has attained include a Master in Gifted Education (UNSW), Master of Educational Administration (UNSW), Associate of Music Australia (AMEB) and Certificate III in Live Production, Theatre and Events (NIDA).
